So I’ve started listening to podcasts again and I’m currently working on getting caught up on the GameCrafter podcast. So I’ve been thinking. I love the interlocking cards for BattleRoller that make a little dashboard for your character.. but due to the plugs and ports it makes them more difficult to layout and also to cut out. And if something isn’t easy then people won’t do it.
So now I’m thinking about redesigning the cards so that they fit onto standard sizes of cards so that they can be printed via The Game Crafter or Print & Play Productions for those that want better quality cards, or easier to cut out for those that want to print them at home. As for the dashboard aspect, players could still play by simply arranging the cards in front of them a certain way like many other games do, OR they could download and print/order a 3D printed card tray that I have yet to design.
In theory I should be able to do the entire game via a print-on-demand service with basic standees for terrain and Rollers and links to a website to download the deluxe papercraft versions.
